This is New Old Stock (NOS) Copper Bronze weld wire, 30 pounds 1/16" (0.062").  New, in original packaging, sealed plastic bags, perfect condition.  There may be some graffiti on the boxes but the contents are unaffected and in new, perfect condition.   Although this is mig (metal inert gas) weld wire since it is 1/16" we have successfully used it for tig and oxyacetylene welding.  Made in the U.S.A!!

WWW SIL-WELD is particularly suited to weld galvanized (zinc coated) steels since it does not destroy the zinc coating in the vicinity of the weld, thereby retaining its corrosion protection, while the bronze weld metal itself is highly corrosion resistant.
WWW SIL-WELD filler metal is a copper-base alloy containing approximately 3% silicon. It is used for gas tungsten and gas metal arc welding of copper-silicon and copper-zinc alloys (brass) and for welding steel to itself or to these alloys.

Silicon Bronze is a copper based filler metal containing ~3% silicon and small amounts of manganese, tin and zinc. Primarily used for MIG, TIG and oxyacetylene welding of copper, copper-silicon and copper-zinc base metals to themselves and to steel. Excellent for plain or galvanized steel sheet metal as well as other coated steels. Silicon Bronze is also used for surfacing areas subjected to corrosion. The oxy-acetylene gas flame should be slightly oxidizing. Keep the weld puddle small in order to promote fast solidification and minimize cracking. A high boric acid flux should be used both before and during welding. Preheating is NOT recommended.

In an effort to save you shipping charges we recommend that this be shipped in a USPS flat rate box.  The shipping charges shown are for a USPS Large Flat Rate box.  It is also Priority Mail so you'll get your package faster than normal methods.  The original Wisconsin Wire box does not fit in the flat rate box but the wire alone fits snugly.
Therefore, the original box will not be included in the shipment
(unless we cut it up)...  If you need this shipped in the original box please let us know at the time of purchase and the method of shipping preferred, the shipping prices we have to ship in the original box are about !!   If another method of shipping (other than USPS Flat Rate) is preferred let us know (before or at the time of sale!!) and we'll do our best to accommodate.
The buyer is responsible for any additional shipping charges from shipping in anything other than the USPS flat rate box.
The wire shipped in the USPS box will still be sealed in the original plastic bag, see pictures.  We make no $$ on shipping, we try and do our best to save the buyer money whenever we have that opportunity.
