31 Inch 1976 Uneeda Hard Plastic Doll 3176 ME

Description

I measure this doll, collected by my late mother in the 1970s, as 31 inches tall.  She is made from a thin hard plastic; her head, arms and legs rotate, and her vivid blue eyes open and shut.  I noted her legs are attached by staples, but I am sure it is original.
I suspect the pink lace trimmed and embroidered velour dress is not original to the doll.  There is an odd recess in her back shown in a photo which I do not understand.  Should something fit there, it is now missing.  Her long blonde hair is  a little mussed from long term storage.  The front sole of one shoe is turned up a bit.
This doll is marked Taiwan, and is identified as 3176 ME (unless I am misreading what is MF).
